Situated approximately 45km from the center of Thai Nguyen city, Cua Tu Stream is the meeting point of three provinces: Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, and Tuyen Quang. It is adjacent to the highest peak of the Tam Dao mountain range and feeds into the Cong River. The freshwater from Cua Tu Stream currently serves as a source of drinking water and irrigation for the residents of Hoang Nong commune and the neighboring areas in Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province.

Nguyen Van Tung, the explorer of the trekking route in Cua Tu Stream, shared, "To explore the seven waterfall gates along an 11km forest trail, there is only one route, and moreover, it is a natural stream with unpredictable water flow that changes in accordance with the seasons. That is why the locals named it Cua Tu. The difficulty of reaching each waterfall gate increases gradually from gate 1 to gate 7, so it is essential to have experienced local guides to ensure safety throughout the journey."
Depending on their age and physical fitness, visitors can choose their own itinerary to explore Cua Tu Stream. Mr. Dinh Huynh, the manager of Hoang Nong Farm, said, "We always strive to develop local tourism by combining exploration and relaxation, which contributes to the economic development of the people in the region. Currently, we offer three itineraries: hiking suitable for families with children and office workers who are new to mountain climbing; one-day and two-day trekking options, as well as a three-day, two-night trekking package."

For those experiencing Cua Tu Stream for the first time, Mr. Huynh advised, "At gate 1, the flow is gentle, but as you venture deeper, the water flow becomes stronger, with many steep waterfalls cascading over your head and slippery moss-covered rocks, making it extremely hazardous. Gates 2 and 3 have treacherous mountain terrains, and without local knowledge, it is easy to get lost. The route from gate 4 to gate 7 is only suitable for experienced trekkers with a local guide."
On her inaugural visit to Cua Tu Stream, 24-year-old Ngo Thi Thanh Huyen from Quang Binh province shared, "Each step taken to reach the waterfalls is an exhilarating experience due to the serenity and mystery of the mountains and forests. I can sense the harmony of sound and imagery in this space. Witnessing the rock formations sculpted by time and water, I feel the invisible power of nature. The peculiar shapes of the twisting and bending rocks create an unbelievable wonder. These are unique, creative, and captivating natural artworks," Huyen emphasized.
