Vietnam Sea and Islands Week to be launched

The Vietnam Sea and Islands General Department (under the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment) had a working session with the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee on March 31^st to launch the “Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2011” in Nha Trang from June 1^st to 8^th.

The opening ceremony will take place at the The Vinpearl Land Resort & Spa Nha Trang on Hon Tre Island. The event also includes many activities in response to the World Environment Day (June 5^th) and the World Ocean Day (June 8^th) to raise public awareness of the importance of sea and ocean on the national socio-economic development.

Besides, as a part of the festival, the organisers will hold the second sea-based economy seminar, the meeting for seashore general managers and the third forum on “Vietnam’s marine trade mark”.
