Vietnam Airlines increases flights to serve APEC activities
PANO - The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will increase flights on Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang routes from October 5 to November 13 to serve activities of the APEC Year 2017 and growing demand of visitors during this period of time, said Vietnam Airlines’ spokesperson Le Hoang Dung on October 5.
Vietnam Airlines to increase nearly 110 flights
Accordingly, nearly 110 flights with over 20,000 seats will be added, including 64 flights with an average 4,800 seats per day on the Hanoi-Da Nang route and 44 flights with an average of 6,000 seats per day on the Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang route.
Particularly, the airline will run over 50 flights a day, or one flight every 30 minutes, on the Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang routes between November 6 and 11 when Da Nang hosts the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.
According to the airlines’ General Director Duong Tri Thanh, as a special partner and official carrier of APEC 2017, the airlines will try the best to meet growing travel demand during the APEC event and to keep its normal schedule stable to serve passengers. To this end, it has adjusted technical maintenance and crew training plans.
