Vietjet, Boeing ink deal for 100 new aircrafts
PANO – The low-cost carrier Vietjet Air is purchasing 100 Boeing B737 MAX airplanes, worth a total of USD 12.7 billion, following a contract inked between the two companies at the Farnborough International Airshow 2018 in the UK on July 20.
Vietjet’s new order will serve the carrier’s development of airline alliances, while further enhancing the airline’s fleet synchronization, modernization and fuel efficiency.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is committed to deploying a series of strategic partnership programs to develop modern aviation service ecology in Vietnam, including maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and training for pilots, technicians and engineers.
Earlier, Vietjet also signed a contract with Airbus Commercial Airplanes to buy 50 latest A321 neo worth USD 6,5 billion. With this new agreement, Vietjet orders 171 aircraft of A320neo line and A321neo. The aircraft will be delivered from now to 2025.
