Trang An Landscape Complex officially named world natural and cultural heritage
PANO - Ninh Binh province and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the evening of January 23rd held a ceremony to receive the certificate of UNESCO recognizing Trang An Landscape Complex as the world mixed natural and cultural heritage.
PANO - Ninh Binh province and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the evening of January 23rd held a ceremony in Hoa Lu ancient capital to receive the certificate of UNESCO recognizing Trang An Landscape Complex as the world mixed natural and cultural heritage. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, other high-ranking officials, representatives, tourists, and local people.

On behalf of UNESCO, Ms. Katherine Muller Marin, UNESCO Representative in Vietnam, congratulated Vietnam and Ninh Binh province on this important event. Trang An landscape complex is the first site in the Southeast Asia to be recognized by UNESCO as the mixed natural and cultural heritage. She said UNESCO is pleased to learn that a competent management board of the complex has been put into operation and encourages the board to actively coordinate with local communities to promote tourism to improve local people’s living standards. The heritage is expected to bring sustainable development for the locality in the coming time.
On behalf of the Party and State, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam shared the joy with the locality and also asked international organizations, scientists, local authorities and people to make practical contributions to sustainably promoting the global values of the complex, turning it into the ideal tourist destination.
