They are two new tourism products promised to attract tourists to the flood-prone commune of Tan Hoa, Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province.

Tan Hoa was chosen to be the setting of “Kong: Skull Island” Hollywood thriller by director Jordan Vogt-Roberts in 2016. The commune has a hundred-year ironwood forest, which is under careful preservation.

To diversify its tourism services in Tan Hoa, Oxalis Adventure decided to open a new attractive adventure tour, titled “Exploring Kong’s house by 4-wheel motorcycles.”

During the two-hour long tour, visitors have an opportunity to conquer road bends on their own, drive an all-terrain vehicle through the beautiful ironwood, palm, and myrtle forests, cross streams, and run in a dark tunnel.

In addition, Tu Lan Lodge resort is designed in the model of prefabricated building on the mountainside of Yen Tho village, Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district. Inspired by the floating house model in flood of Tan Hoa people, Tu Lan Lodge was built about 15m above the ground, using environmentally friendly materials. In addition to relaxation and sightseeing purpose, Tu Lan Lodge also provides clean water, electricity, and shelter for people in the flood season when the water rises too high.

General Director of Oxalis Adventure Nguyen Chau A affirmed that Oxalis Adventure has built a long-term plan to turn Tan Hoa, which is a flood-prone area of Quang Binh province, into a tourist center of the Northwest region of Quang Binh.
