PANO - The People’s Committee of Lam Dong province held a ceremony on January 1 at Lien Khuong International Airport to welcome the first visitors to Lam Dong in 2026.

At exactly 7:00 a.m., Flight VN-6172 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, carrying more than 200 passengers, landed at Lien Khuong Airport.
In the solemn, joyful, and vibrant atmosphere of the ceremony, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi, together with provincial leaders, warmly greeted and presented souvenirs to the passengers who set foot in Da Lat on the first day of 2026.

On behalf of the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Lam Dong province, Chairman Ho Van Muoi extended his warm welcome and sincere thanks to the visitors for choosing Da Lat as their destination on the first day of the new year. He wished them memorable experiences during their holiday in Lam Dong, a land renowned for its beauty, tranquility, and hospitality.

Following the administrative merger, Lam Dong province has emerged as one of the country’s major tourism hubs, offering distinctive tourism products associated with “a land of thousands of flowers,” “blue sea,” and “vast forests.” In 2025, the local tourism sector welcomed 20.7 million visitors, up 18.1% year on year and exceeding the plan by 115%. This total included 1.287 million international arrivals, an increase of nearly 40%. Tourism revenue was estimated at VND 56.8 trillion. In 2026, Lam Dong aims to attract more than 25 million visitors for sightseeing and leisure.
