HCMC launches competition for tourism recovery
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)’s Department of Tourism, on December 4, launched a campaign for tourism recovery initiatives and a competition for creative and innovative tourism startups in 2021.
The competition aims to collect opinions and suggestions for the city’s tourism recovery, including solutions to restore tourism activities, mechanisms and policies for tourism development, information technology applications in tourism, tourism promotion, to name but a few.
Entries should be sent to the municipal Department of Tourism’s headquarters at 140 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Vo Thi Sau ward, District 3; emailed to: hienkedulich.tphcm@gmail.com, or via the forums, seminars and talks to be organized by the department from December 2021 to May 2022.
Regarding the competition for creative and innovative tourism startups in 2021, themed “Joining hands in tourism recovery,” participants should propose initiatives or start-up ideas (solutions, products, and technology, to name but a few) capable of applying and supporting the city’s efforts to recover tourism sector after the COVID-19 pandemic, while promoting the development of the city’s tourism industry.
Outstanding projects will be selected and presented to the jury at the final round, which is expected to take place in April 2022. After being awarded, the winners will be further supported to find investors to bring their projects into play.
