Hanoi hosts festival introducing Cuban tourism potentials
PANO – The Cuba Tourism Festival is taking place at 18 Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hanoi, from March 26 to 30. The event is held by Hanoitourism Administration, in association with the Cuban Embassy to Vietnam.
The fiesta aims to promote prestigious Cuban travel services and facilities, and making Cuba a tourist destination for Vietnamese people.
According to Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera, Cuba welcomed 1 million international tourists since the beginning of this year, and targets to receive 5 million in 2019, a year-on-year increase of 7 percent.
The island country has great tourism potentials with 10 world heritages recognized by UNESCO, 10 international airports, and four international ports.
In Cuba, visitors are able to tour famous beautiful destinations such as seaside Malécon, Old Havana, El Morro Castle, José Martí Memorial, Museum of Rum, and cigar factories, as well as to enjoy local traditional dances.
On this occasion, Hanoitourism introduced its service “Cuba - Russia: A two-span bridge journey.” During 12 days and 11 nights of the trip, visitors have an opportunity to visit Cuba as well as have experiences in Russia.
