Ha Tien is a border town founded 300 years ago, lying 90km from Rach Gia in Kien Giang province. This is the place is at the centre of natural scenery that fascinates visitors.
There is the beautiful Dong lake with its clear water, which is located east of Ha Tien town. It is 3 km long, 2 km wide, surrounded by mountains, with creates a poetic sight.
4km away from Ha Tien, Mui Nai is another attractive destination.The strip of land stretching out in the sea is called Mui Nai (Deer Cape) as it is shaped like a deer’s head facing up the sky. On the mount of Mui Nai, there stands a lighthouse built in late 19th century.
There is No and Bang soft sand beaches that beautifully slope down to the sea. No beach is located near a fishing village while Bang beach with clean and clear water provides favourable conditions for refreshment, swimming and other tourist activities. From the beach, we can see Phu Quoc and Hai Tac islands in the distance on clear days.
Lying on the way between Ha Tien and Rach Gia, Hon Chong cape is a real paradise for those who love nature. This is considered the most beautiful beach in the Mekong Delta region with its wild features, peaceful space and almost complete lack of man-made sounds, the only noise being the endless murmur of the ocean.
The beach named Duong with stripes of very soft sand and lines of willow and sugar-palm trees. Not very far from the beach there is a small island call Hon Nghe, whose surrounding water is home to many oceanic creatures. Hon Chong is also famous for its diversified bio-system with lots of rare plants and animals.
