Route Development Manager for Asia, Africa and the Middle East of Copenhagen international airports, Denmark, Ulv Elbirk said his company is considering opening direct air routes between Copenhagen and Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The Danish official expressed the idea during a recent meeting with members of the Leading Businesses Club.
According to the official, the idea came after the company carried out a survey of the number of air passengers between the Scandinavia peninsula and Vietnam, which indicated that as many as 10,000 air passengers from the region went to Vietnam during the first half of 2009.
According to forecasts, the number of visitors between Vietnam and the peninsula would go up to 80,000 in the future.
