This year, the campaign has many changes to improve the campaign quality and encourage participants to bring into full play their role in voluntary activities.

The youths will be divided into 18 groups. They will conduct voluntary activities in Thu Duc city, 21 districts of Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces, namely Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, and Kien Giang.
The campaign will last until August 6.
Notably, this year, the university has set up new groups associated with society’s needs, including digital transformation, swimming skills and drowning prevention, tourism, mental health care, social work practice education, and others.

Participating in the “Green Summer” Campaign 2022, the youths will carry out many important projects and activities, focusing on applying STEM knowledge to young people education, improving computer skills for children of needy workers and laborers, providing mental health care for youngsters, protecting the environment, and supporting children with learning disabilities, hearing and visual impairments, to name but a few.
In provinces of Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, and Kien Giang, participants have set specific targets, particularly building two rural bridges, two “Light up the countryside roads” projects, and a playground for children, presenting two bookcases for children, 400 life jackets, 30 bicycles, 30 scholarships, besides others.

In addition, two students of the University of Education HCMC will join voluntary activities in Phu Quy island district (Binh Thuan province) and Laos.
At the event, the Youth Union Organization of the University of Education HCMC and the Red Cross Society of District 5 signed a cooperation agreement on the implementation of voluntary activities in the 2022-2023 period.
