Accordingly, the students, all from Hanoi-based high schools, achieved three golds and three silvers. This is the highest achievement of Vietnam’s team since they started competing in the competition nine years ago.

The IJSO 2019, the 16th of its kind, under the theme “Inspiring young generations and preparing skills for the future”, was hosted by Qatar from December 2 to 12 and attracted 326 students from 70 nations and territories worldwide.

The competition is annually organized in rotation by the Ministry of Education and Training of the individual participating countries.
