Vietnam wins runner-up title at world's largest robotics competition
PANO - On April 20, according to Hanoi - Amsterdam High school for the Gifted, the GreenAms Roboticsc Team 24751 represented the school at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship 2025 in Houston, the U.S. and claimed the world runner-up title.
The FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship is the largest robotics competition in the world, held annually and attracting nearly 1 million participants each year. The 2025 final round in the U.S. saw the participation of 1,100 teams from more than 50 countries, gathering over 50,000 contestants.

Although it was their first time competing in the event, all 15 members of the Vietnamese team showed their confidence and determination. With a strong fighting spirit and competitive strategies, GreenAms Robotics Team 24751, along with two alliance teams, triumphed over many opponents to win the Edison Division Championship. As a result, the alliance earned the Finalist Alliance title, officially becoming the World Runner-up in 2025.

Becoming runner-up at the world's biggest robotics competition on their first attempt is a proud achievement, affirming the great potential of Vietnamese students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In addition to excelling in traditional Olympic competitions, Vietnamese students are gradually catching up with the world in approaching modern science and technology.
