Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day observed nationwide
PANO – The Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television celebrated the 95th Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and presented 66 awards to outstanding works at the 38th Ho Chi Minh City Press Awards on June 21st.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the press and media works that won the Ho Chi Minh City Press Awards 2020 to the construction and development of the city.
On this occasion, 10 works of the Central-level press agencies about Ho Chi Minh City were also awarded, including one by the branch office of the People's Army Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City.
* The same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Publishing House released the book “The Imprint of Vietnamese Culture” by journalist and poet Le Minh Quoc. The 687-page book consists of 5 chapters and includes a collection of in-depth cultural research articles by the author that feature his years working in the fields of literature and journalism.
* On June 21, the Hanoimoi Newspaper held a football tournament to celebrate the 95th Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the success of its Party Congress for the 2020 – 2025 term. More than 40 players attended the tournament, including editors, reporters, and staff of the Hanoimoi Newspaper.
