Vietnam responds to “Clean Up the World" campaign

Initiated by Australia in 1993 and promoted by the United Nations Environment Program, this global event is held annually in the third week of September, engaging hundreds of millions of people across 180 countries, including Vietnam. The campaign aims to raise environmental awareness and inspire action.

In Vietnam, the campaign is warmly responded by ministries, agencies, socio-political organizations, localities and citizens through activities like tree planting, anti-plastic waste drives, environment clean-up and anti-pollution efforts.

At the launch ceremony, Vu Minh Ly, Deputy Director of the ministry's center for communication on natural resources and environment, emphasized the importance of joint actions toward sustainable development.

Following the ceremony were environmental cleanup and tree planting activities at Chu Van An Park in Thanh Tri district, and a cycling rally promoting green practices.
