To meet the sharp rise in travel demand during the Tet holiday, the company will operate 55 passenger trains per day with the total of more than 800 carriages in service.

On the North–South route, seven pairs of Thong Nhat trains - SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12, and SE23/SE24 - will run daily, along with two additional pairs - TN3/4 and TN5/6 - between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Regional services will include 12 pairs of trains per day linking major stations such as Hanoi - Vinh, Hanoi - Dong Hoi, Hanoi - Da Nang, Hue - Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon/Nha Trang/ Phan Thiet. Extra services will also be added before and after Tet, including trains between Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh/Quang Ngai/Nha Trang.

During the Tet holiday from February 16–19, 2026 (the 29th of the last lunar month to the 3rd of the first lunar month), additional trains will run from HCM City to Da Nang, Tam Ky, Dieu Tri, Nha Trang, and from Hanoi to Vinh to serve spring travelers.

Between September 15 and September 19, tickets will be sold to passengers travelling in groups, from armed forces, universities, industrial parks, social organizations and enterprises.

From 8am on September 20, tickets will be available on official railway websites, mobile apps, e-wallets, bank applications, ticket agents, and hotlines of Hanoi and Saigon stations.

Each passenger may book and purchase up to 10 tickets per trip.
