VAVA’ fourth national congress concludes
PANO - The fourth National Congress of the Vietnamese Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) for the 2018-2023 tenure concluded in Hanoi on December 5.
Mr. Tran Thanh Man, member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC), attended and delivered a speech at the closing ceremony.

Speaking at the event, the VFFCC President highly valued VAVA’s achievements in the past tenure, and at the same time urged them to continue to implement the Secretariat’s Directive No.43 and the government’s national action plan on overcoming the aftermath of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin sprayed by US troops during the war in Vietnam.
He asked the association to reinforce its organization while calling on the State and the whole community to join hands in supporting AO/Dioxin victims.
At the congress, delegates elected 97 members to the executive board of the Central Committee of the VAVA. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Rinh was re-elected as VAVA’s President and Former Vice State President Nguyen Thi Binh as the Honorary President of the association.
