This initiative responds to the "Green Canopy" campaign initiated by Queen Elizabeth II, encouraging people in the U.K. and around the world to plant more trees, creating a positive influence on future generations, and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
According to the British Embassy, with a donation of VND 112,000, each person can plant an Avicenna tree or a cork tree to cover the alluvial ground, helping protect over 7,000 people in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province and contributing to the Mekong Delta's future sustainability.
The fundraising program will lasts until June 5.
