Earlier, at 18:00 on July 4, the center received information from trawler BD 98559 TS about a work accident at sea. Accordingly, its captain Vo Van Trung (41 years old from Tam Quan Bac ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province) had his left hand broken, lost a lot of blood and lost consciousness.

At that time, the ship was at 20 nautical miles from Tri Ton (Triton) Island, Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago to the Southeast. The center quickly sent Ship SAR 274 to the scene for rescue mission.

At 3:15 on July 5, the center was also informed that fisherman Le Quoc Viet trawler QNg 94713 TS was in critical condition due to work accident, causing his broken right hand. He also lost consciousness because of blood loss.

Accordingly, the center mobilized Ship SAR 412 to the scene to bring the patient ashore.
