Two distressed Filipino fishermen return home
PANO – On January 17, the Phu Yen provincial Border Guard Command, in association with the provincial Department of External Affairs, sent 2 distressed fishermen back to the Philippines. They were Villardo C.Ruzjr and Severino Noveras Camposano from Salcedo, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, the Philippines.

After receiving the fishermen, the command provided health check-up and accommodation for them. The unit handed over the fishermen to the Philippine Embassy in Hanoi in conformity with Vietnam law and international practice.
Earlier, on December 24th, 2016, the foreign troubled fishermen were rescued by Vietnamese trawler PY 95021TS, captained by Nguyen Thai Hung from Phu Yen province. The trawler handed them over to the command on January 9.
