Tree planting festival launched at VINACULTO
PANO – A ceremony to kick off a tree-planting festival and respond to the “For a Green Vietnam” program was held on March 11 in the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (VINACULTO) in Hanoi.
The event was chaired by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and representatives from ministries, the Management Board of the VINACULTO, and ethnic minorities.

Mentioning the culture and tourism sector’s task of managing various relics, landscapes, and cultural areas, the Vietnamese official asked its staff and workers to preserve and beautify the relics by planting trees and ornamental plants.
He added that this festival is one of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s efforts in realizing the Prime Minister’s goal to plant 1 billion trees in the next five years.
After the launch ceremony, delegates planted trees and participated in cultural activities in the village.
