Earlier, fisherman Tran Linh from Pho An commune, Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province, had an accident which caused hemorrhaging while his trawler DNa 90469TS was fishing Northeast of Phu Lam Island of Vietnam’s Hoang Sa archipelago, about 305 nautical miles off the Da Nang coast.

The ship’s captain immediately sent a mayday signal to the Vietnam Maritime Rescue Coordination Center.

After receiving the information, the center instructed the crew on how to give appropriate first aid to the troubled fisherman and then sent the SAR 412 for a rescue mission.

At 22:45 on October 27, the ship approached the trawler and took the injured fisherman ashore.
