The Nhan Dan Newspaper and Hung Yen province held artistic programs on May 18 and 19, respectively. Well-prepared performances praised Uncle Ho, his boundless love for the nation, as well as the Vietnamese people’s love for him.
On May 19, the Vietnamese Party Central Committee's Information and Education Commission, the Youth Union Central Committee, and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics jointly organized a seminar, themed “Cultivating revolutionary generation following President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament.” Delegates focused on President Ho Chi Minh’s thought on training a revolutionary force, results of the implementation of his will, methods to raise the efficiency of training.

The same day, leaders and former leaders of the Ho Chi Minh municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee and representatives from local and military units offered incense and laid wreaths in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Museum and his Statue in district 1. In solemn atmosphere, delegates observed one-minute silence to pay respect to the great leader who devoted his whole life for the national liberation cause.
Ho Chi Minh City’s branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum hosted an exhibition in the city, themed the “Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh and Association of the Vietnamese Patriots in France.”
The exhibition showcases 150 B/W and color photos briefing the revolutionary activities of Nguyen Ai Quoc in France, his first meeting and participation in the Vietnamese patriot association in the country, and the establishment of the French Communist Party. His activities showed the Vietnamese people’s aspiration for peace and laid foundation for relationship between the two peoples, contributing to the success of the war for peace of the Vietnamese people in particular and peace lovers around the world in general.
The exhibition also introduces photos and documents reflecting Vietnam’s international integration and development, the Vietnam-France relations which was established and developed by President Ho Chi Minh with effective assistance from the Vietnamese patriots in France.
A ceremony to inaugurate the Uncle Ho Commemorative House in Bac Luan border gate was held in Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh province. The construction on the area of 261sq.m showcases documents and photos of Uncle Ho’s visit to Bac Luan border gate and China’s Dongxing in 1960.
