At around 13:30 on November 26, a tractor-trailer collided with a car on National Highway 1, at Km42+600 in Nhan Ly commune. The crash caused traffic on National Highway 1A to back up for nearly 10 kilometers.

After receiving the report on the accident, PM Chinh extended condolences to the families of the victims and requested the Ministry of Public Security and the Lang Son provincial authorities to direct relevant forces to handle the aftermath, visit and support affected families, and ensure timely assistance for the injured.

To prevent similar incidents, the PM instructed the Minister of Public Security to order Lang Son police to investigate and handle violations committed by the drivers and owners of the vehicles involved. He also urged police forces across the country to step up inspections and firmly address similar violations, in line with Directive No. 10/CT-TTg issued on April 19, 2023, which focuses on enhancing road traffic safety management in the current context.

The Chairman of the Lang Son People’s Committee and head of the provincial Traffic Safety Board was tasked with mobilizing necessary medical resources to treat the injured and minimize losses. Provincial agencies must also provide support for victim families, intensify patrols and law enforcement, and promptly clarify the cause of the accident while strictly punishing all organizations and individuals found responsible for.

The Minister of Construction and all centrally-governed provinces and cities were requested to instruct relevant units in implementing measures under Directive No.10.
