Apart from applauding role models in family-building, the event aimed to spread good values among Vietnamese families, and raise public awareness of the role, position, and responsibility of the family for the development of society, and encourage VYF’s members to actively build a prosperous and happy family.

The honored families have members aged under 35 with good deeds and activities recognized by local authorities and people and receiving certificates of merit for the cultural family in the 2017-2019 period. All members of the family are Vietnamese and the parents were married in accordance with the Law on Marriage and Family.

At the ceremony, Permanent Secretary of the VYF Central Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan congratulated the 22 families who represent nearly 27 million families nationwide. Tuan said that although they come from different places in the country and live in different conditions, they have shared the same viewpoint of building a happy family with trust, respect, love, equality, sharing, and unanimity among family members.

Tuan hoped that they would continue to promote the good tradition of Vietnamese families and make more contributions to the society.

Earlier, the honored families had a meeting with Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, who applauded them and highly valued their contributions. They also visited the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site, participated in a happy family team-building activity, and toured several tourist attractions in Hanoi.
