The Toyota Foundation, the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training have reviewed the 2 years of the 3-year “Traffic Safety Education Programme” (TSEP).
This is the first programme of its kind, aiming to increase the awareness of nearly 5 million primary school students about traffic safety. In the two years of implementation, TSEP held 22 seminars for some 2,600 cadres and teachers in big cities, and delivered 3 million textbooks on traffic safety to grade one students, over 30,000 teaching books for lecturers and 30,000 compact discs to primary schools nationwide.
The programme has been said to have practical and effective content, contributing to enhance awareness of traffic safety among primary school students all over the country.
