More than 3,000 people to walk for Agent Orange/dioxin victims
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society held a press conference on August 1 to announce the walking program themed “For victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and the needy people with disabilities” in 2018.
According to the organizers, over 3,000 people will participate in the walk in Dam Sen Culture Park.
The program aims to honor the great efforts of families of victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and people with disabilities in struggling against their difficult circumstances, pay gratitude to donors, and further mobilize resources for needy people.
In 2017, the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society organized many meaningful activities for more than 3,100 local victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, such giving away breeding cattle, wheelchairs, and New Year gifts, as well as repairing houses for needy people at the total cost of more than VND 1 billion.
