More supports for UXO victims
PANO - The Engineering Command, the Vietnam Bomb and Mine Action Assistance Fund and Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, held an art exchange themed “For a peaceful life” and presented gifts to victims of unexploded ordnances (UXOs) in the province on December 9.

The program is part of activities to
promote information dissemination on prevention and minimization of accidents
caused by explosives left behind by the war.
During the program, delegates and
citizens of Buon Ma Thuot city were offered an opportunity to approach
documentary film and reports about the real situation of mines and unexploded
ordnance in Vietnam and the measures to improve the effectiveness of
information dissemination activities to overcome the aftermath of bombs, mines
and explosives as well as other live ordinances left behind by the war; and
enjoy a lot of art performances in praise of the beauty of Vietnam.

Commander of the Engineer Corps and General Director of the Vietnam National
Mine Action
Center said the program
aimed to help local people better understand the danger of unexploded ordnance
(UXO) and also raise their awareness of bomb and mine injury prevention.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Bomb
and Mine Action Assistance Fund presented 20 gifts, worth VND 12 million each,
to support UXO victims in Dak Lak province.
