More support to flood-hit victims
PANO - The Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) Central Committee decided to provide urgent aid, worth more than VND 420 million, to the three provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Son La to help local people overcome disaster consequences.
During the recent heavy rains and floods, the VRC's affiliates in provinces and cities nationwide have closely followed the situation of natural disasters and coordinated with district- and commune-level Red Cross chapters and local authorities to support victims and ensure safety for flood-hit families.

Notably, the VRC organization in Thanh Hoa province supported VND 30 million, more than 3,300 boxes of instant noodle, 1,500 bottles of fresh water, 200 life-jackets to needy people in the five districts of Thach Thanh, Yen Dinh, Vinh Loc, Cam Thuy and Ba Thuoc. The organization’s staff also visited and encouraged the families that had lost their members in the floods.
At present, three districts in Thanh Hoa province, namely Quan Hoa, Quan Son, Muong Lat are still isolated by the floodwater.
