More financial assistance for flood-hit localities in Thua Thien - Hue province
PANO - The Vietnam Border Guard on December 21 handed over VND 500 million to Thua Thien - Hue province in a bid to help people in flood-hit localities overcome the flood aftermath.
Representatives of the Border Guard Command handing over the money to the provincial authorities at the event.
Addressing the event, Major General Hoang Dang Nhieu, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard said that the money was given in order to support locals to overcome flood consequences and stabilize their lives soon.
On behalf of the local authorities, Vo Van Chinh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee of Thua Thien - Hue applauded contributions made by the border guard force over the past time, especially in economic development and disaster consequence control. He also thanked the border guard force for their care for the local authorities and people and promised to transfer the money to flood-hit people at the soonest time.
