* On September 13, the World Health Organization (WHO) delivered 1 million water purification tablets and 500 water containers to safeguard the health of people in provinces devastated by Typhoon Yagi. This support will help provide about 15 million liters of clean water, ensuring safe drinking water for weeks to come for households and healthcare facilities in the eight most heavily affected provinces of Bac Giang, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, and Yen Bai.

* On the same day, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) provided 700 family kits to the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. These kits aim to help communities in Yen Bai province that were severely affected by Typhoon Yagi. This is part of the UNDP's ongoing efforts to assist the Vietnamese Government and people in recovering from the strongest typhoon to hit Vietnam in three decades. The family kits include water buckets, rubber boots for adults and children, blankets, medicines, whistles, and other essential items to support those who have lost their belongings, helping them overcome the aftermath of the typhoon.
