The hotlines connect callers to a range of public agencies, including the Traffic Police Department (099 567 6767; 069 234 2608); the NCTS (098 908 8719, 098 175 9328, 093 617 3906; 093 619 8387); Directorate for Roads of Vietnam’s Transport Department (098 360 8989); Vietnam Railway Authority (086 536 7565); and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (091 656 2119).

The NCTS recommended users present specific information that covers destinations, vehicle registration plate, flight codes and violations when using the hotlines. Texts to these numbers are preferred for convenience and accuracy.

At a recent conference, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh urged the NCTS along with the Ministries of Transport and Public Security to exert all efforts to reduce traffic accidents during the upcoming Tet holiday, which lasts from February 2 to 10.

During Tet last year, from February 14 to 20, traffic accidents killed 168 people and injured 37,200 others.
