Along with the program, various meaningful activities also took place, including offering incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization Traditional House and the memorial space called “Uncle Ho with children”, and more.
At the event, the organizing panel honored 350 the city’s exemplary children, who have been conferred the title “Uncle Ho’s Good Children 2021.”

The event was considered a chance for pioneers and children to uphold the glorious history and tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization.
Meanwhile, the organizers hoped that the city’s children would continue making efforts in learning, self-improvement, and following the five teachings of President Ho Chi Minh.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai commended honored children, affirming that the city would pay more attention to children care and education, as well as create the best conditions for them to study and grow up.
In addition, he sent his sympathy to nearly 2,000 children in the city, who have lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that the city would mobilize resources to conduct programs to take care of pandemic-hit children, hoping that people would continue strictly following COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

On this occasion, the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union granted 45 scholarships to pandemic-hit students (VND 2 million per person per month until 18 years old).
