Hanoian students offered helmets
PANO - The Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam, in cooperation with the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP) and several Swedish businesses, presented nearly 1,000 helmets to students at Ba Dinh Primary School, Hanoi, on November 8.
The program, in response to the Year of Traffic Safety 2018 with the theme “Traffic safety for children,” aimed to make the community and parents more aware of wearing helmets for children when travelling by bike.

Meanwhile, Chief of Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) Nguyen Trong Thai said that the helmet presentation will contribute to reducing road traffic accidents and their consequences as well as raise children’s awareness of strictly abiding by the traffic law.
Speaking at the event, Swedish Ambassador Pereric Hogberg expressed his hope that every Vietnamese should set example for their family members and friends by wearing the protective gear when travelling to make them safer on road.
