PANO – Ten “Outstanding Hanoians”, with many great contributions to the construction and development of Hanoi over the past years, were honoured at a meeting organized by Hanoi’s Party Committee, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee on October 8th.

Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Head of the Commission for Education and Information, Pham Quang Nghi, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and leaders of agencies and outstanding citizens of Hanoi attended the event.

The ten people include Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Le Duc Doan from the Hanoi Traffic Police Office; Associate Professor Doctor Ha Dinh Duc, former principal lecturer at the Biology Department under Hanoi University of Natural Sciences; Le Duc Giap, a farmer from Cao Vien commune, Thanh Oai district; Nguyen Thi Hien, a worker from Hanoi Sewerage and Drainage Company; Pham Loi, former President of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee; Professor Doctor Nguyen Tai Thu, Labour Hero and Chairman of the Vietnam Acupuncture Association; Ta Ngoc Thuy, head of Residential Quarter 26, Hang Bac ward, Hoan Kiem district; Composer Hoang Van; Ha Thi Vinh, General Director of Quang Vinh Ltd. Company in Bat Trang commune, Gia Lam district; and Nguyen Thi Vui, Head of the Ngo Ha Mosaic Painting Co-operative in Chuyen My commune, Phu Xuyen district.

At the event, the organizing panel also praised the good deeds of 1,002 outstanding people.
