Gratitude paid to more national contributors
PANO - A series of meaningful activities has been taking place nationwide as a token of gratitude to those with great credits for the national salvation cause.
On July 9, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan inquired after and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Ca Mau city.
Nhan encouraged and expressed deep gratitude to the wounded and fallen soldiers and confirmed young generation’s responsibility in implementing gratitude movement.
He also toured a typical model of breeding eel and marble goby in combination with fruit growing in the locality.
Meanwhile, the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee has decided to use over VND 107 billion from its budget to present gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, sick and wounded soldiers and other policy beneficiaries as well as typical individuals and organizations in caring and creating jobs for national contributors and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the city and neighboring localities on the occasion of the 70th Day for Wounded and Fallen Soldiers (July 27).
A delegation from Military Region 1’s Party Committee and Command has paid tribute to President Ho at his memorial house on the De Pass, Phu Dinh commune, Dinh Hoa district and to fallen soldiers at the July 27 National Historical Site in Ban Co village, Hung Son commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province.
On the occasion the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 1 presented VND 100 million to the Party Committee, authorities and people in Dai Tu district and 10 other gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to typical policy beneficiary families.
