More than 200 policy beneficiaries, wounded soldiers, martyrs' family members, heroic Vietnamese mothers and family members of soldiers who are working in border and island areas, people with disabilities and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) have been provided free health check-ups, medicines, medical consultation, and learned about disease prevention.

This program aims to promote the socialization for humanitarian medical activities, mobilize resources at all levels for the program so as to improve the people's health and contribute to effectively implementing the social security in the province.

On the occasion, the Ha Nam provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to groups and individuals for their outstanding contributions to  the 2016 humanitarian medical program. In addition, the Military Hospital 5 of the General Department of Logistics (Military Region 3) also presented ten gifts to needy households.

According to Nguyen Minh Toan, Chairman of the Ha Nam Red Cross Chapter, last year, the province organized 56 humanitarian medical programs for over 12,200 needy people with the total budget of VND 1, 44 billion .
