Fisherman with acute appendicitis rescued
PANO - Ship SAR 412 on May 11 successfully took a troubled fisherman ashore for treatment.
At 18:00 on May 10, Bui Ngoc Dung aged 46, captain of trawler QNa 91926 TS suffered a critical pain while his trawler was operating in the southern waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago.

The trawler contacted the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center for help.
Upon receiving the news, the center coordinated with the Da Nang coastal information station to connect with doctors from Da Nang city Emergency Center for remote medical consultation.
The fisherman was diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
The center later assigned ship SAR 412 to conduct a rescue mission.
At 08:40 on May 11, ship SAR 412 safely shipped patient Bui Ngoc Dung to Da Nang city and handed him to a functional agency.
