First sea route from Soc Trang to Con Dao islands opens
PANO - A maritime route from Soc Trang province to Ba Ria – Vung Tau’s Con Dao island was launched on July 14 with the first ship leaving Tran De sea port.
Two-deck Superdong vessel
The voyage to Con Dao, operated by the Superdong – Kien Giang Speedboat Corporation, takes 2 hours and a half.
The two-deck Superdong vessel is capable of accommodating 306 passengers and travels at an average speed of 25-27 nautical miles per hour.
As from July 14, there will be one round-trip on the route every day, departing from Tran De port at 8 am and returning from Con Dao’s Ben Dam port at 1 pm.
