The event will take place at the Hoi An Memories Island in Da Nang. It is organized in celebration of the success of the 14th National Party Congress, and in anticipation of the 95th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Federation.

Chairman of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association Pham Van Thanh said Da Nang city was selected as the central region’s main venue for the 2026 program.

The festival will be connected with the large-scale live performance show “Hoi An Memories”, which recreates the history and cultural development of Hoi An across different periods. The combination is expected to create a distinctive highlight while conveying messages of inclusion and creativity within the community.

A key feature of the program will be the dialogue “The Inspirers – Family Support on the Journey of Resilience”, where exemplary families and inspirational figures will share stories of overcoming adversity and spread messages of compassion, understanding and community responsibility in building an inclusive and humane society.

The festival is a platform to unlock human potential by placing persons with disabilities at the center of the development process. Rather than being viewed solely as beneficiaries of support, they are encouraged to become pro-active and creative contributors to society.

The program also aims to establish a sustainable networking space where initiatives supporting persons with disabilities can be nurtured and effective inclusion models widely shared. It is considered a starting point for a long-term strategy to strengthen support and promote the role of persons with disabilities in the country’s new stage of development.

The event will provide a forum for dialogue among State agencies, social organizations, businesses, international organizations and media outlets to mobilize resources and build a comprehensive and sustainable support ecosystem for persons with disabilities.

Through connections in areas such as digital technology, education and training, sustainable employment, culture and arts, and social knowledge, the program seeks to remove barriers related to awareness, accessibility and long-term livelihood opportunities.

On this occasion, the association also announced “The Inspirer Award”, honoring individuals, families and organizations that have made sustained contributions to supporting persons with disabilities in study, work and daily life. An accompanying publication compiling stories and experiences in caring for persons with disabilities will also be launched to share knowledge and highlight inspiring examples in society.
