At the event

At the event, the organizing panel presented 200 emergency kits, worth VND 80 million in total, to 70 ship owners and fishermen in four communes of Hoai My, Hoai Hai, Hoai Thanh and Tam Quan Nam and Hoai Nhon ward (Binh Dinh province). Each kit includes 12 items, such as medicines, bandaging supplies, medicated oil, and others.

Meanwhile, the two units instructed fishermen on standard first aid methods, contributing to preventing incidents at sea, helping them feel secure and continuing to go fishing offshore.

On this occasion, troops of Tam Quan Nam Border Station under the Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard Command updated fishermen with information related to the Law on Vietnam Border Guard, improving their understanding and awareness of law observance in implementing socio-economic development tasks and ensuring national defense and security.

This activity heightened fishermen’s responsibility in coordinating with the border guard force to manage and safeguard local maritime boundaries.

As reported, the event was part of activities in response to the “Ensuring safety for needy fishermen” program launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee. The program has been conducted in 18 communes of Binh Dinh province.
