Distressed fishermen saved at sea
PANO – Ship SAR 412 under the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination on January 5 successfully rescued a troubled trawler, numbered BD 97692 TS, and took its seven fishermen to Da Nang port safely.
Previously, at 5 a.m. on January 4, the trawler with 7 fishermen on board, captained by Ton Van Hung from Binh Dinh province, went adrift due to engine failure while fishing in the waters of Quang Tri.

Upon receiving the mayday call, the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination sent Ship SAR 412 for the rescue mission.
At 10.45 pm on the same day, the rescue ship approached the trawler and successfully towed it with seven distressed fishermen on board safely.
The rescued crew-members were given first aid and are now recovering.
