Distressed fishermen saved at sea
PANO – Ship 263 of Fishery Surveillance Team No.2 has successfully saved troubled fishermen while patrolling along the continental shelf boundary between Vietnam and Indonesia.
Earlier, three fishermen on trawler numbered BV09878-TS had serious health problems while fishing at sea.

The three fishermen were Nguyen Van Tinh (born in 1966) from Tan Tien commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province; Nguyen Phong (born in 1981) from My Hai commune, Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province; and Nguyen Van Binh (born in 1968) from Hai Ky commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh province, who experienced an acute urinary tract infection, a sciatica, and a cold, respectively.
After receiving the mayday signal, ship 263 rushed to the scene to give free health check-ups and medicines to the distressed fishermen.
The fishermen on the trawler were also provided with health counseling to protect themselves from conventional diseases at high seas.
