Distressed fishermen saved at sea
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center, on July 2, successfully took ashore 7 troubled fishermen on a sinking trawler to the port of Cua Lo (Nghe An province).
The fishermen included Pham Huu Thanh, Ho Khac Duc, Dinh Trong Hau, Pham Huu Toan, Nguyen Van Cong, Truong Van Kiet from Tien Thuy commune, and To Duy Thai from Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province.

The fishery association of Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, and relatives of the distressed fishermen hired vehicles to bring them home.
Earlier, ship PACIFIC 01 under the International Transportation and Trading Joint Stock Company (ITC), crashed into fishing boat NA 95899 TS with 19 fishermen on board and capsized it about 35 nautical miles off the South of Bach Long Vy island.
After the accident, ship PACIFIC 01 used its lifeboat to save 10 fishermen, of whom 1 died.
Currently, there are nine crew members who are still missing.
