Capital confirms 61 more COVID-19 cases at noon
A total of 61 COVID-19 infections were added to Hanoi’s caseload from 7am to noon on July 30, according to the municipal Department of Health.
Of the cases, 25 were detected at quarantine sites and the rest within the community.
Among them, 12 cases were in connection with a cluster at a drug store at No.95 Lang Ha street, Dong Da district; six had links to Ho Chi Minh City, four were linked to Hanoi Lung Hospital, one related to a cluster in Hoang Mai district and one linked to Bac Ninh province.
As such, from 6pm on July 29 to 12pm on July 30, Hanoi logged 78 new infections.
Since April 29, the capital city has recorded a total of 1,059 COVID-19 cases, including 417 found in quarantine areas.
The city is now under a two-week social distancing order.
