With construction having started in January this year, the building cost of over 6 billion VND (258,000 USD) was covered by the business community. The three-storey facility, which has a total floor area of over 960 square metres, will be used to accommodate about 60 children.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Tran Quoc Trung stressed that a policy is needed to support people caring for the children, to encourage them to work, while asking the center to operate the building efficiently
The local department will continue receiving donations for the construction of another building at the centre and raising more funds for the better care of disabled children and those suffering from AO/dioxin.
