ADB supports Vietnam to upgrade roads and workforce
PANO – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on December 12 has approved a loan worth USD 188 million to upgrade 198km of roads in Vietnam’s mountainous Northwest region, and a USD-78-million package to help Vietnam's workforce meet market’s requirements by improving the quality of vocational training schools across the country.

The roads, which will connect remote areas of the mountainous Northwest to the Northeast region, will facilitate the regions’ trade with the two neighboring countries of Laos and China.
Meanwhile, the package will provide and upgrade training facilities for 16 vocational schools in the country, thereby improving the quality of vocational training programs in electronics, mechanics, biotechnology, automation, and automobile technology.
