The successful breeding and nurturing of the rare white Bengal tigers affirmed Vietnam’s efforts in protecting and conserving the wildlife species, while resolutely combating the poaching of endangered species.
Thanks to good care, the smallest newborn cub has become the heaviest of the trio.
In 2010, the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens received a Bengal couple from the Elmvale Zoo in Canada.
The number of white tigers worldwide reduced from 100,000 in 1990 to about 3,200 in 2013.
