Nearly 250 young volunteers, including workers from the Coca – Cola Vietnam Company and students from universities and colleges in Vung Tau, have taken part in a program to clean up nearby beaches.
The volunteers collected garbage from along two kilometers of beaches. They also encouraged local people and visitors to participate in the campaign to protect the environment.
These activities were part of an annual program launched by the Committee for Ocean Protection, and funded by the Coca – Cola Corporation. Each year, nearly half a million volunteers worldwide take part in the program.
On this occasion, the Coca – Cola Vietnam Company presented 30 concrete benches to the city of Vung Tau.
